Chemical methods

The only ones this method may not suit are the owners of plastic pipes. From alkali, they will not dissolve, but it can completely distort them. Therefore, try alternative methods to avoid repairs. And be careful, because the product remarkably corrodes the skin of the hands and the mucous membranes of the eyes and respiratory tract. Mechanical methods

Plunger. Good old, familiar plunger. We take one that is larger in diameter than the toilet drain, tightly press it. And we begin such familiar reciprocating movements. Fluctuations in the liquid inside the bowl destroy the blockage, the whole leak flows away.

Modern plungers look a little different than everyone is used to seeing. They have a piston and work on the principle of a pump, which makes them much more efficient. Even its solid appearance alone will already exalt you in the eyes of the household, and if you cope with the blockage yourself, then honor and praise!

Tip. A plunger works better if its lower part is in a liquid medium. This creates an additional vacuum.

Bottle. A similar plastic bottle has a similar effect. Suitable for a volume of 1.5 or 2 liters, depending on the diameter of the drain hole. The bottom is cut off with a sharp knife and the lid is tightly screwed. Or a suitable handle, for example, from a mop, is inserted into the neck. Then the resulting design is inserted into the toilet bottom and the work of a true plumber begins. That is, they work like an ordinary plunger.
